    Abstract:
Neuroinflammation has been shown to promote the progressiveness of age-related neurodegenerative disorders like Alzheimer’s disease (AD), characterized by amyloid plaques and neurofibrillary tangles. This work aims to determine to which extent the prenatal inhibition of soluble epoxide hydrolase (sEH) by the pharmacological agent TPPU has a neuroprotective effect on the offspring. For doing so, two-months-old 5xFAD mouse model is used. Preliminary results obtained from Western Blot and qPCRs of molecular markers suggest that there could be a possible effect of the treatment on tau pathology and inflammation. Further studies are needed to establish the mechanisms by which offspring get protected.
