    Abstract:
Research into the bone vascular system has been a scientific field in which interest has increased greatly in recent years. This study aims to study the effects of acute radiation treatment on bone marrow and its microenvironment. To compare the effects of the treatment we obtain images and immunohistochemistry from mices that have been treated with radiation and from ones which haven’t. The study concludes that a single radiotherapy treatment causes a loss of homeostasis, an increase in bone marrow adipogenesis, an increase in inflammatory vessels and a decrease in osteogenesis.
