    Abstract:
    The purpose of this project is to define the technical and economic bases for an increase in a an extrusion line to the productive plant of Ravago Pl.sticos S.A. located in the municipality of Vilallonga del Camp. Currently, Ravago Pl.sticos has two distinct production pathways, recycled and composited. Within the compound zone, five production lines that work parallelally can be differentiated, however, this project focuses on one of them specifically line 3 as it is the one that has an older extrusion technology. This line currently produces a moth amount reduced material because existing equipment is not designed to produce the products that are most in demand. Thus, this project studies an amendment to the current line with the aim of increasing the production capacity of this line from 600 tonnes per year to 7,500 tonnes per year and which will focus on the production of recycled post-consumption plastics. A study of all the equipment needed to achieve this goal has been carried out in accordance with the established conditions and following the company's guidelines. In addition, a metal structure is also projected to support two end-product storage silos with a capacity of up to 35,000 kg and that the discharge mouth must be at a minimum height of 5 meters above the ground level. The foundation of the structure has been made of isolated shoes joined with centering beams. The fire resistance has also been calculated according to the mandatory regulations, as well as the waste management study in the work, classifying them according to the regulations of the Catalan waste agency. A Pert diagram is also presented with the temporary scheduling of tasks to perform by identifying the critical path. Finally, the total budget for the cost of modification and a financial study have been estimated, concluding that it is an economically viable project, having a recovery period of less than 2 years.
