    Abstract:
    This Final Degree Project has been drafted in order to meet the needs of the Project Promoter, which in this case will be a mining industry dedicated to the extraction, treatment and marketing of sodium and potassium salts, located in the municipality of Súria. The need that the Promoter transmits is to maximize the availability of the railway wagons that it uses to transport the mining salts to the Port of Barcelona. At the same time, it also wants to have an exclusive service for washing and drying the inside of the railway hoppers in order to be able to load them with new product. The Promoter is responsible for the treatment of two different types of mineral salts: Granular Potash (GMOP) and Standard Potash (SMOP). Maritime transport is carried out with large tonnage vessels and as waiting for ships in the Port is very expensive, it is necessary to have a large logistics capacity in order to deal with possible peaks in product demand. Therefore, when GMOP potash needs to be loaded instead of SMOP, or vice versa, it is necessary to have a fast reaction capacity when washing trains. That is why throughout this project we will try to respond to the needs raised by the Promoter through the design and calculation of an industrial building with sufficient logistical capacity to expedite the cleaning of the wagons and ensure the maximum availability of the rolling stock. The warehouse gives structural solution to the requirement of space of the different areas of work of the industrial plant. These areas are two washing and drying railways, a dead end railway for the maintenance of the wagons and a truck enty area for the loading and unloading of the same. In this area there will be a 5 tn crane bridge, designed to lift the different parts of the wagons. September 2021
