Abstract: This project addresses the way in which English pronunciation is taught on social media, its effectiveness and its advantages and disadvantages. According to a survey filled out by participants and interviews answered by site owners regarding the methodology, reliability and effectiveness of this method, students tend to be more confident learning with a teacher who is preferably a native speaker but prioritising their professionality and qualifications. This method is thought to be more effective than the traditional ones for the student’s concentration and learning process. However, the teachers would only recommend it as a means to complement the traditional methods.
