Analysis of cognitive biases in the financial field: study of the impact of biases according to the gender perspective

Abstract:
This work aims to analyze the behavior of men and women in the same financial scenario to identify possible differences in their behavior. The execution of two Focus Groups has allowed us to conclude that women are more adverse to risk and losses. Additionally, their decisions are influenced by the bias of the herd effect, that of availability, and that of the status-quo. Men, on the other hand, are more confident and prone to suffer from anchoring, confirmation and representative bias.
