    Abstract:
The objective of this study was to analyze the relationship between being unemployed and mood. For this study, 46 people between the ages of 18 and 65 were selected. All unemployed subjects participated in a job orientation program at a center in Tarragona. This study analyzes the expectations and motivation of the unemployed, the relationship between their mood and other personal factors and, finally, their level of anxiety and depression thanks to the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale (HADS) questionnaire. The results obtained show significant differences between unemployed and workers. Unemployed people present more warning symptoms of depression and anxiety.
