    Abstract:
Human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infected patients have different responses to the infection and /or treatment. Depending on these responses, the HIV-infected patients can be classified into different groups, elite controllers (EC), immunological responders (IR), and immunological non-responders (INR). In this research, we studied the differences in the lipidomic profile of the different groups. Notably, propionic acid emerged as a potential biomarker for predicting INR patients. The findings of this study suggest that INR individuals experience more pronounced lipid changes during the HIV infection than EC and IR patients.
