The lack of female artistics references and their inclusion in Primary School classrooms

    Abstract:
    With the present work, it is intended to investigate whether there is a lack of parity in Artistic Education in Primary Education through a case study in a school in Tarragona. Two questionnaires, an interview and a checklist have been carried out. The results confirm that the students do not know female artists, since they do not work in the classrooms, but that they show an interest in learning. In addition, the lack of training of teachers in relation to female artistic references is exposed, proposing several ways to promote the presence of female artists in education.
