    Abstract:
This thesis investigates the use of concept maps as a meaningful learning tool in the field of natural sciences. A study has been carried out with a group of upper cycle students to evaluate the impact of concept maps on their learning and understanding of natural science content. For this reason, an empirical study has been carried out in which the use of conceptual maps has been applied to a group of students. Their academic performance has been compared before and after the application of conceptual maps through didactic tests. In addition, a survey was conducted among students to find out their opinion about its usefulness as a learning tool. The majority of students have positively assessed the use of concept maps, highlighting their ability to organize and visualize information, as well as to encourage reflection and critical analysis of concepts.
