Abstract: Avui dia, cada vegada són més les persones que desenvolupen resistències a alguns antibiòtics pel seu ús incorrecte, la qual cosa està causant un gran problema per al tractament d'algunes infeccions. Per tant, poder quantificar gairebé en temps real amb anàlisi electroquímica pot ser molt beneficiós. Aquest estudi se centra a avaluar el rendiment dels sensors electroquímics per a la detecció de dos antibiòtics, vancomicina i meropenem. A continuació es mostren els resultats preliminars de les mesures realitzades tant en la suor artificial com en el líquid intersticial artificial. L'estudi conclou discutint les limitacions i les perspectives prometedores observades per als dos antibiòtics. Nowadays, more and more people are developing resistance to some antibiotics due to their incorrect use, which is causing a big problem for the treatment of some infections. So, being able to quantify in near real-time with electrochemical analysis can be very beneficial. This study focuses on evaluating the performance of electrochemical sensors for the detection of two antibiotics, vancomycin and meropenem. Preliminary results of measurements performed in both artificial sweat and artificial interstitial fluid are shown below. The study concludes by discussing the limitations and promising prospects observed for the two antibiotics.
