Translation of accents and dialects in the Tv Series “Peaky Blinders”

Abstract:
Translating dialects and accents is a challenging process that translators face. For this reason, when they encounter problems, they use the help from the translation techniques. My thesis is about searching how the translation of dialects and accents changes from English to Spanish in the Tv Series “Peaky Blinders” and the different techniques they used. To do so, I analyzed three different chapters from the first three seasons, and I discovered that the accents and dialects get lost in translation as the translator and dubbing director did not think it was appropriate to translate them.
