Resumen: Light verbs are defined as verbs completely devoid of meaning of their own. Hence the term itself defines them as "light". Unlike full verbs, they must be complemented with an eventive noun, forming a complex predicate and therefore have meaning. This grammatical structure is known as light verb constructions. The thesis aims to make a comparative study of these constructions between English, Spanish and French. To achieve this, the investigation was carried out in the literary field and in translation. The hypothesis was that light verbs are rarely known and studied, therefore their use is often unknown. For the research, an analysis of these verbs in a literary work was used, taking into account only the light verb "take". The data have been collected across the three versions of the same text. The results show that this type of constructions are not very used at literary level, being in the Germanic language where they are more abundant. Els verbs lleugers es defineixen com a verbs completament desproveïts de significat propi. Per tant, el mateix terme els defineix com a "llums". A diferència dels verbs complets, s'han de complementar amb un substantiu eventual, formant un predicat complex i, per tant, tenir significat. Aquesta estructura gramatical es coneix com a construccions verbals lleugeres. La tesi pretén fer un estudi comparatiu d'aquestes construccions entre l'anglès, el castellà i el francès. Per aconseguir-ho, la investigació es va dur a terme en l'àmbit literari i de la traducció. La hipòtesi era que els verbs lleugers poques vegades es coneixen i s'estudien, per tant, sovint se'n desconeix l'ús. Per a la investigació s'ha utilitzat una anàlisi d'aquests verbs en una obra literària, tenint en compte només el verb lleuger "agafar". Les dades s'han recollit a través de les tres versions d'un mateix text. Els resultats mostren que aquest tipus de construccions són poc utilitzades a nivell literari, essent en les llengües germàniques on són més abundants.
