Resumen: Es va dissenyar un estudi proteòmic per identificar patrons de proteïnes associats amb una resposta immune deficient al tractament antiretroviral (TAR) administrat a persones seropositives. L'estudi del perfil proteòmic de les cèl·lules T de pacients seropositius abans de l'inici de la TAR va revelar diferències significatives en ambdós subtipus cel·lulars entre subjectes control, subjectes que inicien TAR amb un estat immunològic baix però amb bona recuperació immune amb TAR i aquells pacients amb una resposta immune deficient en TAR. Les proteïnes significatives identificades s'han d'estudiar més com a possibles biomarcadors per a la identificació precoç de pacients immunològics que no responen o com a dianes terapèutiques per a la millora de l'estat de recuperació immune al tractament. A proteomic study was designed to identify protein patterns associated with poor immune response to antiretroviral treatment (ART) administered to HIV-positive individuals. The study of T-cells proteomic profile from seropositive patients before the start of ART revealed significant differences in both cell subtypes between control subjects, subjects initiating ART with low immune status but good immune recovery on ART and those patients with poor immune response on ART. The significant proteins identified should be further studied as possible biomarkers for the early identification of immunological non-responder patients or as therapeutic targets for the improvement of immune recovery status to treatment.
