    Abstract: Exchange of boryl moieties between alkenyl boranes and diboron reagents has been postulated as a cross-metathesis pathway with concomitant formation of mixed diboron reagents. The stereocontrol of the sequence is guaranteed throughout the transborylation methodology. Herein, we describe the synthesis and characterization of different types of transborylated products. Finally, preliminary studies on the transborylation reaction between alkenyl boranes and gem-diboryl alkanes, with the subsequent formation of mixed unsymmetrical gem-diboryl alkanes, are disclosed
