    Abstract:
Breast cancer (BC) is the main cause of cancer-related death among the women population. The interplay between metabolism, oxidative stress, and inflammatory processes appears to play a role in the development and progression of BC. We aimed 1) to investigate baseline biomarkers related to metabolism, oxidative stress, and immune system by metabolomics, ELISA, and colorimetric analyses in BC patients, and 2) to identify biomarkers associated with the pathophysiological characteristics of the patients. Several circulatory alterations were found in BC patients. PON1 activity, hypoxanthine, 3-phoshogliceric acid, xylonic acid and maltose were the best biomarkers to predict BC.
