    Abstract:
Due to COVID-19, there has been an increase in the demand of Point-of-Care (POC) devices. In this work we introduce the first steps towards development of a novel POC device – an electrochemical immunosensor – that quantify in situ immunoglobulin gamma (IgG) in biological samples. We report a simple and low-cost methodology of construction of paper support-based Platinum sensors that use potentiometry for quantification. The recognition method is Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA), through using glucose oxidase (GOX) linked antibodies. Potentiometric measurements were given based on the mixed potential mechanism. Moreover, an explanation of the sensors analytical performance, sensitivity and selectivity is provided.
