    Abstract:
The global market for artificial turf is forecasted to rise from 2.3 billion in 2019 up to 3.4 billion in 2023. However, due to an estimated replacement of the 98% of installations currently in use, surveys claim that approximately 190,000 tonnes of turf will require disposal by 2023. In recent years, environmental concerns have gained great importance and customers are investing in finding solutions to the end-of-life of artificial turf. In the current work, a recyclability study has been carried out where the benefits of using a polyolefin dispersion for the recycling of end-of-life artificial turf have been analyzed over incumbent solutions. The project included the coating of samples, pelletization and a yarn extrusion to evaluate mechanical properties.
