    Abstract: The stereoselective synthesis of cyclopropenone-based ceramide derivatives as potential Des 1 inhibitors is presented. By harnessing the singular reactivity of cyclopropenones one of the potential Des1 inhibitors, bearing a 1,2-dichalcogen heterocycle, has been synthesized in an effective and time-saving manner via late-stage functionalization. Docking studies support their potential as Des1 inhibitors. Both synthetized compounds will be evaluated as Des1 inhibitors
