Preparation of a Propane Dehydrogenation reaction model for Multi Predictive Control implementation including economic optimization

    Abstract:
    This master thesis presents the different concepts and tasks performed and required for the simulation of the reaction section of the PDH plant using MATLAB, to which is first given a more detailed description about the chemistry and operation of the equipment. Once the simulation model is obtained, it is proceeded with its validation and further optimization, including an economic study. Moreover, an economic analysis of a 4-year plant run is developed to proof the profitability and viability of the model for the company. Finally, some proposals of improvement and the conclusions obtained for the project are given.
