    Abstract:
    This thesis explores whether students acquire and retain new vocabulary through reading literature or watching movies, and if that affects their motivation and enjoyment in the EFL classroom. The study was made with one group pre-test and post-test design with 19 participants aged from 10 to 11, whose English level was A2, beginning of B1.
