    Abstract:
In this paper we will study the evolution of the population of the territory comprising the present municipality of Llucmajor (Mallorca) over a wide chronological arc from the Balearic period (± 650 BC) to the Islamic conquest (902 AD). This will allow us to observe the changes brought by the Roman conquest and during the long period in which the structures and administrative-social organization introduced by the Romans remain on the island until the Islamic invasion.
