Title in different languages: A glance at women through time, An interdisciplinary didactic project for ESO
Abstract: This projects aims to provide an extracurricular and interdisciplinary didactic project focused on the role of women in history, which combines literature, art and history as a transversal discipline for the achievement of academic objectives related to education in values. The aim is to show that through a sociocritical view of cultural phenomena we can promote a critical spirit and values of equality and democracy, with the ultimate goal of eradicating gender violence and maleness. The project follows a diachronic order and uses the methodology of historical revisionism and the deconstruction of signs suggested by the Feminist Critique. The content of this proposal has been divided into four large blocks following a diachronic order. It begins with Hesiod and the Old Testament, travels to the Middle Ages, eighteenth and nineteenth century to finally reach the present and allow through this journey that the students have witnessed through the analysis of literary texts and pictorial works that art is a constructive field that has created and polarized the feminine types and that we are heirs of a patriarchal tradition that has undervalued and deformed to the woman according to the own needs of the man to hold the power through the centuries.
