Abstract:
The document consists of the report of the Master’s Degree titled as ‘‘Improvement of energy efficiency in a company that manufactures household items’’. The final objective of this work is to obtain the Master’s Degree in Industrial Engineering at the Rovira i Virgili University, and it has been carried out at the Comercial Valira S.A of Reus. To improve the energy efficiency, an energy audit war carried out at Valira, whose objective is to analyse if energy consumption in the production plant can be optimized, maintaining or improving the characteristics of the production process and without worsening the comfort of the employee. In addition, the viability of implementing a renewable energy system to reduce the energy consumed by the network and collaborate in the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions has been studied.
