    Abstract: The purpose of this work was to set the inverter of a racing electric motorcycle. In order to achieve the objective of finishing the MotoStudent competition race (5 laps around the Motorland circuit in Spain) a simulation model was created in Simulink. The model simulates the behaviour of the electric motorcycle powertrain and predicts the energy consumption per lap. With the results obtained from the simulation it was possible to define a configuration for the inverter that fulfilled all the requirements set.
