Resumen: If we think of fingerprints within the police framework, most of us think of the identification of subjects who may be involved in a crime. However, currently new applications can be detached to continue pulling the thread in a dubious plot. This is what this project is about: the determination of the deposition date of the fingerprints. Once the individual involved has been identified, the aim of the analyzes presented throughout the study is to frame them in a temporal range, so as to be able to discern between older and more current traces. Si pensem en les empremtes dactilars dins el marc policial, a la majoria ens ve al cap la identificació de subjectes que puguin estar implicats en un delicte. Tanmateix, actualment noves aplicacions es poden desprendre per a seguir tibant del fil en una trama dubtosa. D’això és del què tracta aquest projecte: de la determinació de la data de deposició de les empremtes dactilars. Un cop identificat l’individu implicat, l’objectiu de les anàlisis que s’exposen al llarg de l’estudi és emmarcar-les en un rang temporal, per poder discernir així entre empremtes més antigues i més actuals.
