The dry stone technique, declared Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO in 2018, has been used to solve the needs related to fieldwork. Using massive data capture techniques, a typological variety characteristic of the Terra Alta plateau (Tarragona) has been analyzed. Specifically, the investigation has focused on the survey and analysis of the “cabanes de volta” of Fatarella. It is a unique typology of barrel vault constructions. The main of the research is to use the technique of digital Photogrammetry to analyze 30 “cabanes de volta” through virtual three-dimensional models. This research has made it possible to register and analyze the significant examples from a constructive and dimensional point of view. The results and learning developed in this regard have been the result of observation, the analytical process of three-dimensional models and the combination of both. The technical analysis has made it possible to influence aspects related to the materialization of the technique through the “cabanes” that have been preserved to this day.
