Abstract: This work shows the importance of interpersonal networks in social intervention, and above all their influence in the lives of individuals. Based on this observation and using the social network mapping technique, attention is focused on identifying the characteristics and functioning of informal support networks for certain women attended to in primary care social services. These women are observed as perceiving their networks as personal resources to draw on when facing situations of need. It is therefore proposed to promote these networks as a supplementary resource to social intervention.
