Abstract:
This study analyses the operations of investment funds in the Spanish agri-food sector in recent years, as well as the transformations they have promoted. Special attention is paid to the participation of private equity funds in the fresh fruit and vegetable sector. Taking as a frame of reference the strategies of this type of investment funds and their embodiment in the investee companies, we explain the meaning of the transformations they have driven and how they are building global platforms.
