Abstract:
Tàndemis a social-educational project in the city of Tortosa. Its main purpose is to promote the social, cultural and linguistic integration and the personal and formative development of newly arrived foreign pupils, in the 6th grade of primary schools in Tortosa.These mentors are students selected from the course in infant and primary teacher education at the Rovira i Virgili University and the upper training cycle in Social Integration at the Ebre secondary school. The Tandem project follows a specific methodology based on service learning which combines learning processes and service to the community.
