Resumen: This paper provides an overview of critical work carried out in the field of psychology in Spain and Italy during the last three decades. What is presented here is a joint outcome of a sum of coincidences which have allowed in social and political contexts the convergence in themes and concerns. This entails approaching critical psychology as part of wider transformations (and social movements) rather than a disciplinary topic of interest by its own. We shall finally argue that it is not sustainable or desirable to categorise these works under any disciplinary formation or trend however inclusive it might be.
