    Resumen:
This article chronicles the archaeological site at La Gessera in the municipality of Caseres (Terra Alta, Tarragona) from its initial discovery to its recovery by the Protohistory and Archaeology Seminary Research Group (GRESEPIA) of the Universitat Rovira i Virgili. We analyse the work carried out by the Institut d’Estudis Catalans (IEC, or Institute of Catalan Studies), the inventory of findings, the review of materials conducted in the 1970s, the new interpretations that were made at the beginning of this century (with their proposals on chronology), and the most recent interventions, which have led to definitive proposals on the site’s functionality and stages of occupation. © Jordi Diloli, 2021.
