Resumen: This dataset was created for the purpose of analyzing data that was published in the article titled "Intestinal Taste Receptor Expression and Its Implications for Health: An Integrative Analysis in Female Rats after Chronic Insect Supplementation". The aim for this dataset was to investigate the effect of insect protein consumption on the intestinal taste receptor expression and their correlation with metabolic and inflammatory parameters at intestinal level and general health. It contains the gene expression levels of sweet, umami and some bitter taste receptors in different sections of the intestinal tract. Moreover, it includes the correlation analysis between intestinal taste receptors expression and the metabolic and inflammatory parameters. The dataset covers the information obtained from an experiment using animal model, conducted in the year 2021.
