    Resum:
Microcapsules are particles, usually spherical, whose diameter is in between 1 and 1000 microns. They are constituted by a polymeric wall that retains inside it another material in order to isolate it from the environment, protect it or release it in a controlled way. Microencapsulation is used in many different fields, from medicine to construction and it is a technology which undergoes continuous development due to its many possibilities. Research is focused on proposing more simple and easy to scale up methods, which enable the design and control of the product properties. In this context, the present work is focused on the production and characterization of microcapsules through a simple method which allows to control the properties of the capsules. We have worked with polysulfone capsules prepared by atomization followed by phase inversion. Furthermore, vanillin, which is a compound especially difficult to encapsulate, has been successfully encapsulated with our method.
