    Resum:
This research analyzes the history of 'Xiquets de Valls' Human Towers Club during early Francoism (1939 to 1960). The Xiquets had to face new historic issues and socio-political environment that played against Catalan traditions. Franco ended the traditional duality between The Colla Vella 'Old Club' and the Colla Nova 'New Club' and forced them to join in a single club, which was controlled by the municipal authority, that used the Club to get the best posible performances. When the Club was divided back, the City Council created the Board of the Xiquets, which favored the 'Muixerra' (Human Tower Club in Valls). However, the Colla Vella (Old Club) was seen by many as opposing Franco's Regime. Over time, both groups experienced good and bad periods and performances, until the internal problems and the support received by the authorities ended up with the disappereance of the Muixerra, which meant a return to a sole Club.
