The Catalan Integral Cooperative (CIC) is a platform for a network of networks that from the self-management tries to generate the material and immaterial infrastructure that will enable its members to get out of the capitalist and state institutions. To encourage action and bring together a social base broad enough to situate itself and fix its struggle in the territory, it used the degrowth frame of reference. This thesis focuses on the ordered set of meanings and symbols that enable this anti-system organization to promote their collective action. This set constitutes a symbolic system, a cultural pattern that is transmitted in its bosom and is concretized in various forms. This pattern is fully libertarian and constitutes the political culture of an antisystem organization that tries to remain faithful to the values, principles, beliefs and practices defended historically by this current of thought, trying to prefigure and to experience in its bosom an autonomous society. This ethnography is a sample of how this libertarian tradition feeds as underground stream the repertoire for collective action of this node of the antiglobalization movement that conforms the CIC in our territory. And how its organization tries to promote mechanisms of interaction - micromobilization - that lead its members to integrate in processes of identity, solidarity and conscience.
