Resum:
This paper presents the ethnographic analysis of two group experiences, both located in two contexts post psychiatric reform: the experience of the 'Grup de Pensadors' ('Thinkers’ Group') in Barcelona and the Autonomous Medication Management (GAM) in Porto Alegre. Through a hermeneutic character analysis, the thesis will focus on the study of the dynamics of participation and on the dialogic methodology that operates in these spaces, consisting of people in a situation of mental suffering, caregivers and professionals, and in the Brazilian case by university researchers. This participation will be understood here as the axis of a transformative process of the individual to personal and social level which shall be conveniently analysed and will start the configuration of a methodological analysis tool called 'participatory itineraries'. This study will also include the meticulous approach to group experiences known and analyzed throughout the fieldwork, set up through a network of relationships established among participants, in constant process of Update, with differentiating discourses and their own subjective analysis of the experience of mental suffering as well as the professional treatment. Thus, it will be essential here the recovery of different knowledge involved and the respective elaborate narratives. All under the epistemological context of Collective Mental Health, a proposal originating from the American continent but that also search thus their applicability and recognition in the Spanish context.
