    Resum:
Since the eighties, the controversial issue of family presence during cardiopulmonary resuscitation and invasive procedures (FPRI) has produced national and International literature, as well as to perceive benefits, barriers and guidelines for its implementation or for the training of health workers on the subject. Many organizations are positioned to allow FPDRI. In Spain, references on the subject are relatively scarce and there are few studies found that identify the experiences, perceptions and opinions of the participants in the FPDRI, as well as the policies implemented in this regard. These studies aim to obtain a current and comprehensive view of the family presence during cardiopulmonary resuscitation and in invasive procedures, including all the participants in the procedure: patient, family members, and health team. For this reason, we used different methodology. A bibliographic review, qualitative and quantitative methods. The methods have responded to the proposed objectives, obtaining the following results: the existence of protocols favors the FPDRI, although it is not a guarantee that this practice will be implemented, the Spanish laws do protect in case of applying the FPDRI, that patients and family members are in favor of FPDRI, with some conditions and that although health personnel, in general, are not in favor of the FPDRI. Concluding the centered care on the patient and the family is our future healthcare model and should include in this care the FPDRI, thus providing holistic care that empowers the patient in relation to their process-sicknessand thar fosters respect for the principles of medical bioethics.
