    Resum:
Secularization seemed to be taking over the world. However, it has not been able to achieve its main goal: to replace religion in the institutional and private sphere. This has led experts to classify it as a failure. At the same time, it is found that the religious phenomenon has started a process of recovery and reinforcement manifesting itself both through traditional religions and substitute religions. In contexts of emigration in secularized societies, it is observed how migrant communities not only keep their faith but also grow in number. This work focuses on the community of the faithful of the Romanian Orthodox Church in Catalonia and tries to explain the reason why this national and religious group has maintained their beliefs against expectations. The answer lies in a great capacity for resistance in the face of external threats, a faithful following of tradition and an intense national sense.
