Ambos complejos han mostrado resultados prometedores como potenciales catalizadores de reducción de CO2 para formar CO y H2, como lo demuestra la onda catalítica observada en los experimentos de voltamperometría cíclica realizados en presencia de CO2 y agua/TFE Increasing population of the world has increased demand for energy. Since the fossil fuels are widely used as main energy sources, burning them has significant effect on our environment. Shifting from fossil fuels to alternative and sustainable energy resources is inevitable. Since the renewable energy resources like sun are highly intermittent. Inspiring form natural photosynthesis which harvest sun light and store it in the form of chemical bonds which can be later used developing the technologies that can trap and store the energy of renewable resources are vital. The technologies not only will be highly dependent on energy resources used but also to make the technology economically viable catalystic systems will be required. Considering these challenges and opporttunities in this thesis we have tried to develop highy efficient,cheap and robust molecular catalysts for electrochemical hydrogen production and Carbon dioxide reduction reaction.
