    Resum:
Bicuspid aortic valve disease (BAV) is the most prevalen! congenital disease, being present in 1-2% of the population. In addition, BAV carries various associated complications, such as aortic stenosis (AS) and aortic dilatation (AD). In the case of the latter, AD, can start as early as pediatric ages. Currently there is no optimal and specific treatment for this type of palien!, beyond rigorous follow-up by diagnostic imaging techniques. In addition, there are no established biomarkers that can help us in the diagnosis and prognosis of this pathology and its associated complications. On the other hand, recen! studies indicate that the pathophysiology of both complications may be specific to BAV and differ from what occurs in individuals with a tricuspid aortic valve. During the last decades, omics have been very useful to have a more complete picture of what happens in various pathologies, including cardiovascular diseases, by analyzing numerous parameters simultaneously. For this reason, in this work we plan to deepen our knowledge of the factors or mechanisms involved in the more rapid degeneration of the VA (EA) and AD associated with BAV by integrating different omics.
