Adaptación de manuales para la enseñanza de español como lengua extranjera al contexto de enseñanza chino: análisis y propuestas

The main objective of this thesis is to provide the teaching community of Spanish as a foreign language that works with students of Spanish in the Chinese context with some recommendations for the improvement in the adaptation of the ELE teaching and learning manuals, and, consequently, that these are adequate and effective for this target group. This doctoral thesis consists of two clearly related aspects: on the one hand, the analysis of the existing bibliography and of the most relevant manuals for the teaching and learning of Spanish as a foreign language published outside of China, for use in the Chinese context; and, on the other hand, the proposal of a series of recommendations for the adaptation of this type of manuals. To this end, a field study was carried out through a sample survey, statistically representative of Chinese students (n=288) and Spanish teachers in China (n=66). The results obtained allow us to conclude, among other findings, that the adaptation of Spanish manuals for Chinese students should have a strategy that maintains essential aspects that are especially adapted to the characteristics and needs of these students.
