    Resum:
The development of new technologies (ICT), and in particular the invention of smartphones, has offered enormous benefits to users. However, the use of this technology involved not only benefits, but also some problems, such as nomophobia and addiction to mobile.Nomophobia represents the irrational fear of not being able to use the smartphone, more specifically of not being able to communicate, lose connectivity, not being able to access information and renounce comfort; while mobile addiction is understood as chronic or periodic obsessions for the use of mobile. It is a type of technology addiction characterized by symptoms such as conflict, abstinence, relapse, and behavioral prominence. Although they are different phenomena, they have been used interchangeably in research and their possible relationship has not been explored. The main objective of this doctoral thesis was to investigate and demonstrate the relationship between nomophobia and mobile phone addiction, as well as the role of background and consequences in these constructs, in the workplace. In addition, provide additional evidence on the variables involved and explore dysfunctional obsessive beliefs as another possible antecedent.
