    Resum:
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is an emergency procedure that aims to save the lives of people when they have stopped breathing or the heart does not beat, performed by health professionals or various agents. Since the 1960s, chest compressions have been the cornerstone of CPR, saving millions of lives. Advances in computing capabilities on computers have made it possible for many scientific studies to be performed without the need for invasive, on-site procedures. In this study, we performed simulations using the CODE ASTER software, in order to observe the reactions of the thorax with similar efforts when performing CPR. We have found an alternative region where the procedure can be performed and we have evaluated other regions where the risk of injury is significantly increased. Using the finite element method, excellent approximations are made in the area of biomechanics and biomedicine
