    Resum:
The growing demand for enantiomerically pure compounds has sparked great interest in the development of methodologies for obtaining such compounds. Among these methodologies, asymmetric catalysis stands out as one of the most widely used techniques. In this methodology, the synthesis and proper selection of chiral ligands are essential to achieve high activities and enantioselectivities. In this context, the focus of this thesis is centered on enhancing the current state of the art in the design, synthesis, and evaluation of catalysts for various chemical transformations. Two of these transformations are the Rh- and Ir-catalyzed asymmetric hydrogenation of olefins and the Pd-catalyzed asymmetric allylic substitution, for which tailored ligand libraries (P-P', P-N, P-S, and C-S) will be prepared, designed especially according to the needs of the substrates/nucleophiles under study. Finally, for the [3+2] asymmetric Pd-catalyzed cycloaddition reaction of vinyl heterocycles to doubly stabilized Michael acceptors, previously known ligands will be tested. These processes have been selected due to their green chemistry properties and industrial interest, as they produce chiral products with high added value. Despite te long story of some of these transformations, our goal is to tackle challenging substrates and novel combinations of substrate/nucleophile/dipolarophile.
