    Resum:
The thermal complex of the Hispano-Roman city of Valeria was built in the 1st century AD. and remained in continuous use for at least three centuries. After its abandonment, the building was not razed nor its construction materials looted, although specific acts of looting, especially of metal elements, were detected. This circumstance has allowed us to recover a large part of the marble decoration that was part of the decorative program of its cold spaces, identifying the different elements that composed it, as well as the origin of the marble materials in which they were made, confirming a majority Hispanic origin. but also from various places around the Mediterranean The information obtained from the study of the marble elements is complemented by the gaps and marks preserved in the wall structures, which has allowed us to propose a compositional scheme and a recreation of the appearance that the best preserved room of the thermal complex could have had during its period of existence. use.
