The research is based on three studies that are specified in three objectives, which contemplate variability from different perspectives and levels. These three studies that are linked below will be the guiding thread of the thesis. 1. Comparative study of the incorporation of the recommendations of the Clinical Practice Guide on lntravenous Therapy of the National Health System (GPC-SNS) into PICC protocols in hospitals in Catalonia. 2. Analysis of PICC complications in the lntravenous Therapy Team (ETI) at the Sant Joan de Reus University Hospital (HUSJR), according to its Database (DB). 3. Study with the Focal Group technique to ascertain the knowledge of clinical nursing practice of the Sant Joan Baix Camp Public Law Entity (Hospital and Primary School). Qualitative analysis of clinical practice in the application of the protocol. As a general conclusion, it has been shown that variability is present in the three studies.
