    Chronic pain in childhood is a prevalent problem that comes to affect about 30% of young people aged 8 to 16 years. This condition has a negative impact on the lives of young people affecting their quality of life, physical, psychological and social functioning. In recent years, Pain Education has been presented as a promising strategy to improve the conceptualization of pain and to reduce maladaptive pain-related behaviors in children and teenagers. The general objective of this thesis is to analyze the effectiveness of the Pain Science Education program Learning Pain in improving the conceptualization of pain in children between 11 and 13 years old, enrolled in the first year of Obligatory Secondary Education (ESO). A randomized controlled clinical trial with single-blind parallel groups was conducted. The five institutes that participated in the study were randomized into two groups: the experimental group and the control group. The experimental group carried out the intervention in Pain Science Education through the specific program Learning Pain. The control group only performed the study assessments. Both groups were evaluated through of an initial assessment and follow-up assessments after 1 month (short term), 7 months (medium term) and 13 months (long term). The primary study variable was the conceptualization of pain (COPAQ).
