Abstract:
This Doctoral Thesis is based on the study of the harbour air quality of Tarragona. To evaluate the air quality of harbour of Tarragona, the presence of different kind of organic atmospheric pollutants have been studied. On one hand, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, organic volatile compounds and majority contaminants (NO2, NOx, SO2, CO, O3 and PM2.5 and PM10) have been determined. Moreover, analytical methods for determining poor studied compounds with toxic effects for human health have also been developed. For this, phthalate and organophosphate esters, N-nitrosamines and nicotine have been determined in air particulate matter and gas phase by gas-chromatography-mass spectrometry.
