    Abstract:
Low back pain is currently the leading cause of disability around the world, mainly women. Her prevalence in Catalonia is about 24,5% of the population over 15 years old. The origin of this pain is mechanical in the 90% of the cases, with patients affected by musculoskeletal alterations like weakness and shortening of muscle fibers, causing functional changes that appear for the lack of postural hygiene and physical activity, and sedentary lifestyle. The physiotherapy treatment for low back pain includes a lot of options, one of them consists in physical exercise although doesn't exist scientific evidence to choose the most appropriate exercise because there are a widely options of exercises and a vast of patients. For that reason, we realized a randomized longitudinal intervention study assessed efficacy between two back school treatment groups: traditional exercises and deep muscle exercises (responsible for maintaining the stability of the spine). We combined both treatments with other physical agents of physiotherapy such as TENS and infrared.
